Over a hundred families attended the Open Evening recently to find out what Sale High School has to offer. The whole school was opened up with activities going on in IT, science labs, art rooms, the gym and classrooms - and even the dining room was serving a range of hot and cold refreshments.
Visitors were welcomed by our new Headteacher Mrs Lynn Nicholls, who has come to us from Culcheth High School in Warrington. Invited into the recently refurbished school hall, they enjoyed a short concert of performances by some of our music, drama and dance students before setting off on student-guided tours of the school.
Comments from parents included: “Lovely atmosphere and well equipped”; “Sale High has a friendly atmosphere and the students appear to be happy and polite”; “The children were really happy and enthusiastic about the school”; “Thanks to Hannah, our excellent tour guide.”
Mrs Nicholls said: “It was wonderful to meet so many local families and to welcome them to my new school. I look forward to working with them in the future and meanwhile, if anyone wishes to discuss their child’s secondary school needs in more detail, I will be happy to talk to them privately.”
