On December 16^th, staff from John Lewis came to Sale High School to judge the students’ creative work (see news story dated 11^th December).

With a brief to create a window display on the theme of a recycled Christmas, teams of Year 8 students got together to plan, develop and make a model of their concept. At the end of the day, one of a series of off-timetable days which bring different subjects together, Charlotte Clark, Rebecca Child and Emily Howarth were declared the winners.

Their prize - a day at the John Lewis store at the Trafford Centre, working with visual display experts to put together a display of sports clothes and equipment. They also had the chance to create individual display areas, and to find out what the work involves.

 
Staff took the time out of their busy schedules to talk to Rebecca, Charlotte and Emily about the visual display department, how the process works and how to develop a portfolio of designs.
