We offer over 900 girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 16 a friendly, caring and hard working learning environment. The school is popular with both parents and students, and it has received much external recognition for its many outstanding features. We have a hard working and dedicated team of staff and give a high quality of pastoral support.

We aspire to being a fully inclusive school, offering the equality of opportunity students need to turn their potential into actual achievement. The school fosters a happy environment with a strong ethos of providing support for each other, and is prepared to challenge its young people at all levels to achieve their best.

As a school with a technology specialism, and a member of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, we actively encourage new teaching methodologies which harness the vast potential of ICT. Investment in learning technologies reflects our commitment to raising standards throughout the school. We are able to offer ICT training to staff and students from other schools, and have good learning partnerships with our local primary schools. Students also benefit from a range of specialist facilities including two sports halls, a fitness suite, a drama room and a resource centre and library. We are creating a centre of excellence for the technological, scientific and mathematical skills students will need to play their full part in an increasingly technological society.

We also offer a broad range of other curriculum opportunities so that our students are equipped with the skills they need for life in the twenty-first century. We believe in hard work and recognise success in all areas. Most of our students continue into sixth form or further education at 16, taking A levels and vocational courses at the local schools and colleges. Careers and guidance is given a high priority at Sale High School, to encourage students to aim high and to fully develop their potential.
